To re-wild ourselves.... that is so beautiful!!! 🥹✨ I inhaled this piece, I am in awe of you walking away from all that was known and familiar and throwing yourself into something so foreign and challenging. Truly inspiring! Your new adventure is so exciting, and I'm cheering you on as you discover this new phase of re-wilding. 💕
Taylor! I'm so glad you're BACK!! I was in my hometown in Southern California this past week and listened to your podcast episode as I ran on my old cross country trails up in the hills among cows and hawks and the occasional rattlesnake. Being away from my laptop for five days really made me appreciate the absolute need to reconnect with the natural world, which ironically despite the beauty around me every day in the northwest, feels so far away. I'm so excited to read and hear more of your thoughts and words on living a more grounded life away from the pretend People World. All the best to you as you settle into the winter in Maine ❣️
SO good to hear from you Sarah! And I'm so excited to finally be back and be able to press 'publish' more often around here. Feelin rusty, phew😅 Sounds like you had a beautiful trip to CA among the hills and creatures. Thank you as always for the kind words!
Yes girl, this hits home! And yes to being friends!
Community and connection to people in real life… is so important!
My family and I have moved a lot, and so many of your words resonate and I can relate.
We just moved back to a city we once lived in, and have been finding our place again, what that looks like in regarding to friendships and community. 😊
You had an adventure sailing, I think that is so brave of you! And, you are still on an adventure - new and different kind. 🤍 Excited to follow along your journey!
Hi Lindsey! So happy to hear this one resonated you -- sounds like you know the drill with the constant starting over, too. I'm feeling so drawn to staying put for the first time in my life, putting down roots, and not feeling like I have one foot out the door at all times. Happy to have you here, thank you for reading and for leaving this kind note!
Hey Taylor. Our sailing friends love our Caliber and might be interested in purchasing your Caliber. Where might we find her listed so that we can forward them the info?
Hi Taylor, we have watched you and Mike since you left Seattle. I also listen to your podcast. We adore you two and have LOVED watching you traverse the seas.
We are currently sailing the ICW from Annapolis down to Florida. Then hoping over to the Bahamas around the first of the year. We started watching you guys because we also have a Caliber sailboat.
Not gonna lie, I’m kinda sad that you’re not on the boat still. But I totally get it. Have you sold Via? Or do you plan to?
Well anyway, enjoy Maine. It’s so beautiful there.
Hi Holly! Wow I'm so excited for you and this upcoming season! We loved the ICW too -- all the marshlands and estuaries were so different from anything we had sailed before. Via is currently listed -- it is sad and feels like the end of an era, but truly we feel so satisfied and accomplished with what we did and we're ready to start a new chapter. Thank you so much for the kind words and enjoy your voyage to and through the beautiful Bahamas!
Taylor, this makes me sad but I completely understand. I’m not sure I could have done what you and Mike have done. Living aboard for several years.
Please know that you have been so inspiring to so many and will truly be missed. I personally have gotten so much from not only your YouTube channel, but your podcast as well. Hopefully you’ll still have a platform where I can get my fill of positivity and good vibes.
I have followed you since you were the She Thrives duo in Seattle. I too have left Seattle, and am rebuilding a life from scratch as well. So glad to see you again! Can’t wait to follow you on this journey❤️
I love the owl photo that's amazing. And the birds tattoo.
I live in New England, splitting my time between southern New Hampshire and Boston. I pop over to Maine at least a few times a year. I hope you're settling in nicely. Let me know if you want any Maine recommendations. I know some good spots in southern Maine. Been adventuring there for many years.
Ah sounds like you’re a neighbor! We’re a stones throw from NH - and I lived in Boston for several years back when I was a youth 😂. Nice to meet you Chris and thank you so much for the kind words, I’m glad you’re here! And I hope you enjoyed the snow we saw today ❄️

I will send you a DM on here right now!
Your neighbour is CRAZY gorgeous!!
I was just blown away! And stood there absolutely captivated for the full 20 minutes that it was there — so surreal and so special.✨
There’s nothing like it. So happy for you 💜

Oh my goodness the DUO?! 😱 You have truly been here since day one, how amazing! Where are you now, since leaving Seattle?
I am in Western Michigan, covered in a blanket of snow as we speak!
Ahh we just got snow here today for the first time, it was so exciting!
