Taylor, I echo the other beautiful comments left before me and say that this is one of the most exquisite pieces of yours I've ever read. 'Rewilding' is perfect on so many levels, and I am so grateful you have claimed it for this stunning space.

"We are enriched and awakened not when we ascend to some lofty level, but rather when we come back to the ground floor of who and what we really are." - this sentence really struck my heart and blew my mind because I have recently described 2023 as a year of awakening for me, and I have claimed the word 'enriched' as my word for 2024.

So glad to have found you and your words this year. x

“...it has become increasingly clear to me that the most salient and transformational experiences in this life are not some triumph of acquisition, but rather a quiet place of knowing that we return to.”

The whole essay is beautiful, and this particular line struck a very deep chord within me. You distilled so clearly something that I’ve been mucking around with!

Wow. This essay resonates so much with me. I know I need to read this a few more times...and this will be something I come back to. I’ve been really reflecting on how we focus so much on the “nouns” that we are instead of the verbs that we actually are..this process of “rewilding” is the verb I’ve been feeling in my soul. Thank you for putting this on the page. This is beautifull...cannot wait to read again, share and see the direction this takes.
